How to make a Divider
for your stationery using Paint Shop Pro
and a fancy font

To download the Edwardian Script ITC font click here.
NOTE. Window users. Download it to a temp file.
Do not install it directly to your windows/font file.
After it is unzipped in your temp file, click on Start >Settings > Control Panel >
>Fonts. The Font window will open. >File > Install new Fonts. The Add Font window
will open. Find the Temp Folder that you unzipped the font in. Click OK.
The font is now installed, and you can start using it.

Open Paint Shop Pro.

>File >New > New Image. Wide 300. Height 100 Pixels
Resolution 72 Pixels / inch. Transparent or
White backgound. 16.7 Million Colors. OK

Click on the Text Icon. ( The Large A )
Type in your name using any of your fancy script fonts,
( This one is Edwardian Script ITC )
Size 36. Create with Floating and Antialias checked.
No spaces between words.
You can drag and drop the font in place.

With the name still selected,
>Edit >Copy ( Shortcut Ctrl + C )
>Edit >Past as new Selection ( Ctrl + E )
>Image >Flip. Drag it to just under the top one.

>Selections > Select None
>Image >Rotate. Settings to Left, 90*, OK

You can use the Selection Tool

around the name,
drag it to center it.
Settings Rectangle, Feather 0.

>Image > Rotate. Left 90*

You can use it like this or Buttonize it.
White as the background color selected.
>Image > Effects >Buttonize.
Height 9. Width 9. Opacity 100. Transparent Edge.
